2. General Information on Data Processing

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and to handle your inquiries. Processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of the applicable legal provisions (in particular the GDPR and the DSG).

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g. name, email address, IP address).

3. Provision of the Website and Server Log Files

When you access our website, your device's browser automatically transmits information to the server of our hosting provider, where it is temporarily stored in so-called log files. The following data is collected:

  • IP address of the requesting device;
  • date and time of access;
  • name and URL of the retrieved file;
  • browser type and browser version used;
  • operating system of your device;
  • the website from which access was made (referrer URL).

This data is processed to ensure a smooth connection setup, convenient use of the website, evaluation of system security and stability, and for administrative purposes.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of the website).

Retention period: For security reasons, the log files are stored for a period of 14 days and then automatically deleted. This data is not combined with other data sources.

4. Contact via the Contact Form

On our website, we offer you the option of contacting us via a contact form. In doing so, we process the data you enter in order to handle and respond to your inquiry. The contact details transmitted are stored for this purpose in the database of our website.

The following data is processed when you use the contact form:

  • Mandatory information: name and email address as well as the content of your message;
  • Optional information: any further details you provide voluntarily (e.g. phone number, company);
  • Technical data: such as the date and time of submission.

Providing the mandatory fields is necessary so that we can assign and respond to your inquiry. Providing the remaining data is voluntary.

Legal basis: Processing is carried out for the performance of pre-contractual measures and for the fulfilment of a contract pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your inquiry is aimed at concluding a contract. Otherwise, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Retention period: We store the data transmitted in the course of your inquiry in the database of our website until your inquiry has been fully processed. If no business relationship is established following the contact, your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for handling your inquiry. If, however, a business relationship is established, the data will be further processed to the extent necessary and stored in accordance with statutory retention obligations (e.g. under company or tax law) and subsequently deleted.

5. Recipients and Processors

As a general rule, your personal data is not transferred to third parties. Insofar as we use external service providers to deliver our services (in particular our hosting and email providers), this is done within the framework of data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. These service providers are contractually obliged to comply with data protection requirements and to process data exclusively in accordance with our instructions.

Hosting provider: Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland (data centre location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany).

We do not use any analytics, tracking or marketing tools (e.g. Google Analytics) or externally loaded fonts; the fonts used are loaded exclusively locally from our own server. Details of the cookies and storage technologies used can be found in our Cookie Policy.

  • time spent on the website;
  • mouse movements, keystrokes and clicks;

Legal Basis and Consent

reCAPTCHA is used exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 165(3) TKG 2021. We obtain your consent via our consent banner before the service is loaded. Without your consent, reCAPTCHA is not executed and no data is transmitted to Google.

You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by adjusting your cookie settings via the corresponding link on our website. The lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal remains unaffected.

If you do not give your consent, the contact form may not be available for use. In that case, you can reach us at any time by email at info@silvertip-it.at or by phone at +43 664 9111 489.
